My experience with Dory on the land, looking for healing plants was enjoyable, fun, happy. She is caring & loves people, especially elders. Very well educated about all her plants from the land. I learned a lot from the land, I learned a lot from her going into the land to pick devils club for healing medicine. She only takes what she needs and leaves the rest of the plants to grow. Dory also leaves a gift & thanks the land for the plants she takes!

Dory is an incredibly knowledgable Indigenous woman that I have had the very good fortune to work with. She did a fantastic puppetry legend show that every single classroom thoroughly enjoyed, she took us on numerous plant walks where she taught us so very much about different plants, and she also took us to identify different tree species, which incredible. The teas she made for us from the forest was also fantastic! If you ever have a chance to see Dory in action, you had the best take it! A one of a kind lady with one of a kind lessons! She’s so knowledgable!

Such an enjoyable person, Fun to be with and she has so much knowledge to share. She is easy to learn from. Out on the land, she knows every plant we looked at and their medicinal uses. She is so willing to share her knowledge. She helped me make excellent pain medication, which I am so thankful for! Wonderful!

Having attended Dory's workshops, I am happily recommendingher as an excellent herbalist and teacher. I came away from each sessions feeling empowered and excited to explore the world of medicinal plants. Dory's knowledge is truly impressive, and her high energy and engaging personality made the whole exprience incredibly fun. One of the things I appreciated most the focus on ethical and sustainable foraging. Dory clearly explained how to harvest wild plants without harming the ecosystem, which is so important. She also went into great detail about safely using foraging plants for traditional medicines. This combination of practical knowledge and respect for tradition was fanastic. The best part? Dory made everything understandable, even for beginners. She broke down complex topics into clear and easy-to-learn steps. The inclusion of traditonal Indigenous protocols and Dakelh language added a beautiful layer of respect and cultural understanding to the workshops. The quality of the handouts was another big plus. They were comprehensive and informative, providing a great reference guide for future forays. Overall, this workshop was a fantasic experience. I highly recommend it to anyone interested in learning about medicinal plants, sustainable foraging and Indigenous herbal traditions.

The time I spent with Dory was amazing. I found her very knowledgeable and generous with sharing her gifts. I tasted a lot and smelled a lot and was encouraged to connect spiritually with the medicine. It was a wonderful experience and fun to learn and listen to Dory. Along with being a Master Herbalist Dory is an excellent storyteller. Great time out on the land today-Megwetch L. Racine
